RACING OIL

Racing oils have between 1850-2400ppm of ZDDP, but reduce detergents to reduce drag. Using this type of oil in a street car will cause sludge build-up around rings. The high ZDDP level will cause spalling, pulling off metal from the cam and lifters. Race engines are designed to be torn down frequently, cleaned and rebuilt.
